In Memory of a Dreamer

On this date 26 years ago, December 8th, 2006, one of the greatest dreamers the earth has ever seen was shot dead outside his apartment.

It’s this time of year when we hear one of his greatest visions played on the radio. He tells us that war is over, if we want to it be. He was, in a way, the inspiration for the name of this site. Instant Karma is going to get you. Maybe it’s not always instant, maybe sometimes it’s a bit Overdue.

While my generation never got to know him, I’m sure I speak for many of us when I say that he has impacted us for the better and for always. When things are hard, we have learned to just let it be. When our relationships are getting hard, or when we argue, we know we can work it out. He teaches us that. We know that life goes on, and we can get by with a little help from our friends. Most importantly, he taught us that all you need is love.

On this date 26 years ago, John Lennon, one of the greatest dreamers the earth has ever seen, died. But he will live on forever.
